Microsofts latest overhaul of its instant messaging app is the most Mac-friendly to date. Noteworthy features include a smooth enhanced interface, Safari-style tabs, and improved security. The program also boasts Public IM support for other services such as AOL, and Yahoo. Unfortunately, this is only available on corporate networks that have opted to run Microsofts Live Communication Server service. Other features include support for multiple file-transfers, greater customizability with your display picture, a completely redesigned preferences pane. Despite a few let downs with the Public IM support, MSN Messenger is a more refined and more elegant application than past versions.
